Here’s the step-by-step guide on how to send remittances to Gcash via Cross Remittance:
Step 1. Download and register through the Cross Remittance App or website.
Step 2. On the app, choose MONEY TO A NEW RECIPIENT. Then tap on TRANSFER METHOD, then CROSS WALLET.
Step 3. Enter the personal information of the receiver (i.e. Gcash number and registered name). Take note that the mobile number using the format 09XXXXXXXXX.
Step 4. Input your PIN to complete the transaction.
Step 5. The amount being transferred will reflect within a few minutes. Once the remittance has been transferred to the recipient’s wallet, they will receive an SMS notification.
Via MoneyGram
Step 1. Visit any MoneyGram Remittance Branch and fill out their form. Enter the following information:
- The Gcash recipient’s name.
- The Gcash account number is the same as the mobile number registered with Gcash.
Step 2. Settle the amount and transfer fee to continue with the remittance.
Step 3. Have the receiver logged in to his or her Gcash account.
Step 4. Choose the Cash-in option next to the Gcash balance. Then, select MONEYGRAM.
Step 5. Key in the eight-digit reference number from MoneyGram.
Step 6. The amount will be transferred immediately to the Gcash account.
Be reminded that the Gcash owner can only receive a total amount of up to P100,000 per month.
