What is Gcash send money?
Gcash send money is a feature that allows you to send money to another Gcash wallet with a few clicks from your app. Regardless of the network provider of both parties, you can send and receive money. Or, you can even send it directly to another bank account through the Send Bank option.
Send Money from GCash to Gcash
Step 1: Go to your Gcash app and Login using your Mpin. Click on Send Money on the dashboard.
Step 2: Tap on Express Send.
Step 3: Key-in the receiver’s Gcash registered mobile number. Or, you can select the phonebook icon and choose the recipient’s phone number in the contact list.
Step 4: Enter the amount you wish to transfer. You also have the option to send a message. Click on Next.
Step 5: Review the information you input on the confirmation page. Check the recipient’s full name, Gcash registered mobile number, and the amount you’ll transfer. Verify the details are correct before proceeding to the next step. Once cleared, click on Send Php (amount) at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: You will see an in-app receipt confirming that the Send Money was a success. Save a copy of the receipt by tapping the save button icon at the upper right corner of the page.
Also, both you and the recipient will receive a confirmation SMS from 2882 of the transaction details.
Send Money from Gcash to Bank
Step 1: Head on to your Gcash app.
Step 2: Tap on Send Money then select Send Money to Bank or Bank Transfer option.
Step 3: Choose the bank where you’ll transfer the funds. Fill in with all details required such as
- Account Name
- Account Number
- Email address where the receipt will be sent to (optional)
Step 4: Tap on Send Money.
Step 5: Check all the information you input on the confirmation page. Verify the details are correct before proceeding to the next step. Once cleared, click on Confirm at the upper right corner of the page.
Step 6: You will then be directed to the receipt page that shows all details of the Bank Transfer. The transfer is immediate. Both you and the receiver will receive a confirmation SMS of the transfer.
Take note that there’s a Php 15 charge for the transaction.
Can I send money to Smart Padala?
No. Gcash send money doesn’t support sending money to Smart Padala. Alternatively, you can send it to a GCash registered SMART or SUN mobile number. Read more
Is there a limit to how much I can send?
Yes. The wallet limit depends on your Verification Status (Basic user, Semi Verified, or Fully Verified) and the amount you have transacted within a month. Basic users cannot use the Send Money feature of Gcash. For fully verified accounts, you can send up to Php 100,000 per month. And if you link your Gcash to a bank account, like BPI or Unionbank, you can increase your wallet limit to Php 500,000 per month
Can I send money to a non-GCash user?
Yes. You can still send money to a non-Gcash user and are Globe or TM subscribers. The process of transferring cash is the same as sending money to a Gcash registered user. Here are a few things you have to take note of in sending money to non-Gcash users:
- They need you to transact at a Villarica pawnshop.
- The name you listed on the recipient must match the name listed on the recipient’s valid government ID.
- The recipient must provide a valid ID and have their photo taken at the branch.
- The receiver would need to register in GCash via USSD, dial *143# on their mobile, and fill in all the necessary information.
- Be reminded that there is a 2% service charge for the transaction.
What if I didn’t receive money sent to me?
If you did not receive the money sent to you, first, check with the sender if they still have enough balance in their wallet. Also, if they received a confirmation SMS from Gcash. If you can’t find the confirmation message, check the transaction history via the app, a day after the transaction.
However, if the money was sent to the wrong number, Gcash won’t be able to reverse the request. The best thing to do is to get in touch with the person where the money was sent to. Otherwise, if there is an error in the number used or the wrong receiver has not cashed in the amount yet, you can submit a ticket with the following information:
- Send Money – Wrong Recipient
- Details of your concern
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- Date and time of the transaction
- Mobile Number you accidentally sent money to
- Mobile Number you were supposed to send money to
- Amount sent
- Reference ID or Trace ID (from your SMS)
- Screenshots of the transaction (optional)
