Gcash notified the public of a scheduled system maintenance for June 27. However, the issue continued until June 28, 2021. The following activities were temporarily suspended:
- Online account verification
- Sending money
- Cashing in via Unionbank
- Save Money feature both for deposit and withdrawal
As for the reported Gcash issue today, subscribers are asked to stand by while Gcash resolves the issue. A banner is placed on the Gcash website and a pop-up asking for an email address to report any transaction that has failed in the interim.

Gcash Buy Load Problem Today
The amount has been deducted from my Gcash account but I have not received my prepaid load yet. What happened?
Prepaid load purchases are reflected real time after a successful purchase via the app or #143*. But, if your prepaid credit did not post immediately, wait for five (5) minutes.
For the time being, you can perform the following troubleshooting steps:
Step 1. Check if you have a stable signal from your network provider. If not, go to a place where there’s a stable connection. Another option is to restart your phone.
Step 2. Confirm the status of your prepaid credit. For both Smart and Globe subscribers, you can dial #143* from your phone to check the remaining balance.
Step 3. Also, verify if you have entered the correct mobile number of the intended receiver of the prepaid load.
Step 4. Check your inbox for confirmation message from network provider stating that the prepaid load has been credited to your account.
If you have not received any SMS, the amount in question will be refunded or credited back to your Gcash account after twenty four (24) hours.

Gcash and Paypal issues
I keep receiving a message saying “Sorry we are unable to proceed with your cash on request.”
Gcash occasionally reviews Gcash accounts linked to paypal to check if you have a tendency for failed transactions or not. The said review is done to protect subscribers from any fraudulent activities.
New and old subscribers, alike, go through this review. And may encounter the error from time to time.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- If you encounter this error, it is best to re-link your Gcash to your PayPal account. This is for a new pre-approved payment plan.
- Check if you have the latest version of the Gcash app. Otherwise, update to the newest version.
- If the amount you are trying to cash-in isn’t successful, try entering a smaller amount.
- Avoid doing multiple transactions one after the other. Wait for another day or 24 hours to process another transaction.
Hiccups happen from time to time, including scheduled system maintenance. To avoid inconvenience, take note of any announced scheduled outages and plan ahead of time. If you do get caught up in the middle of an outage, wait until the maintenance has been fixed to check if the transaction is successful or not.
