Open a Gcash account in Indonesia
Step 1. Download the Gcash app on PlayStore for Android and Apple store for iPhone.
Step 2. Enter the number you want to register under the Gcash account. Then, tap NEXT.
Note: Ensure that you have enough roaming coverage in the area where you are to link your mobile number successfully to your account.
Step 3. Key in the 6-digit authentication code sent to your mobile number. Once done, tap submit.
Step 4. Fill in all the information asked to register an account. Remember that you need to put your Philippine address, not your address in Indonesia. Once completed, click on NEXT.
Step 5. Create and confirm your four-digit MPIN, then hit on SUBMIT.
Ensure that it is a number that you can easily remember but not accessible to others like your birthday.
Step 6. A pop-up screen will confirm that you have successfully created an account. Tap on PROCEED TO LOGIN to continue.
Step 7. Wait for the 6-digit authentication code sent to your mobile and enter the numbers on your screen, tap SUBMIT.
If you are going to register only one account, you can even activate the fingerprint scanner, if the feature is available on your phone.
Step 8. Enter your 4-digit MPIN on the next page to access your account.
Send Money to Gcash from Indonesia
MoneyGram and Western Union are currently the only options for wire transfers from Indonesia to the Philippines. Through these payment transfer methods, all you need is a reference code to cash in the amount.
